After a very early flight and a nap at the hotel, we headed out to explore most of what Amsterdam has to offer. While other things might spring to mind when you think of Amsterdam, the canals and thousands of bikes made for some very nice photos. We loved the alternative style of the NDSM area across the river from the main city centre and thoroughly enjoyed our day at Amsterdam Zoo, although we learnt that lavender does not belong in an iced coffee.
